Father murders his daughter's molester

A man molesting a 4-year-old girl was beaten to death allegedly by the girl's, Shiner, Texas, police said. The dead man, whose name was not immediately released pending notification of kin, was a 47-year-old from Gonzales, Texas, The (Victoria) Advocate reported. Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said in a statement the father walked into his home and found the man sexually assaulting the girl. He attempted to stop the perpetrator, allegedly striking him on the head several times. Harmon said the death occurred at about 3:45 p.m. No arrest was made and Harmon said it was unclear if any charges would be filed.
