A fire broke out in a dorm room at Harvard University's Allston campus in Boston, displacing several students, officials said. The fire began in a fourth floor apartment-style dormitory Sunday night, the Boston Globe reported. Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said the fire started because of an electrical short circuit in an outlet was damaged. Other rooms on lower floors were damaged when water used to extinguish the blaze leaked down to the first floor. "The water was coming through all the ceilings and floors," MacDonald said. There were no injuries, said MacDonald, who estimated the damage at $150,000. The school will provide on-campus housing for those displaced, MacDonald said.
