A fire in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, killed one person and destroyed the birthplace of famous Dutch spy and erotic dancer Mata Hari, officials said. The fire broke out Saturday afternoon in a clothing store in the center of the city, DutchNews.nl reported. A 24-year-old man, who authorities believe reported the fire in the first place, died in the blaze. Local broadcaster Nos television said that firefighters were not able to reach him in time. Along with the birthplace of Mata Hari, one of Leeuwarden's most famous residents, at least 15 shops and apartments were damaged by the fire, officials said.
