Former Dynamo Kiev and Ukraine midfielder Andrei Husin was killed in a motorbike accident on Wednesday at the age of 41, the club reported.
Husin died when coming off his bike on a tight turn at a motor racing circuit in the suburbs of Kiev.
Husin won seven Ukraine titles and four domestic cups with Dynamo Kiev, and reached the Champions League semi-final with Ukraine's flagship side in 1999.
Husin helped Ukraine reach the last eight at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and scored nine goals in his 71 appearances for the national side.
After hanging up his boots in 2009 he went on to coach Dynamo's youth squad and was also assistant coach at Russian Premiership clubs Samara and Anzhi Makhachkala.
