Four people were killed and 36 others wounded after a train derailed in central Iran's Yazd province overnight, Iranian media reported Saturday. The train, carrying 324 passengers, was heading from the southeastern city of Zahedan to the capital Tehran when its engine and two cars derailed before entering a station at about 11:50 p.m. Friday local time (GMT 2020), state-run news agency IRNA quoted local officials as saying. Three staffers of a provincial train organization and a woman passenger were killed, IRNA said, adding that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
