German foreign minister in Mali for talks

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle arrived in Mali on the second leg of a West Africa trip Thursday for talks with representatives of Mali's transitional government on the country's crisis. "We stand in solidarity with Mali to resolve the crisis," Westerwelle said ahead of his trip. The German foreign minister is set to return to Dakar to hold talks with Senegalese President Macky Sall late Thursday and is scheduled to continue his journey to Nigeria on Friday, to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan, according to a report of DPA.
