Two suspects fleeing a Miami home invasion went to a nearby flea market, where police shot and killed one of them and wounded the other, Miami-Dade police said. Police spokeswoman Rosanna Cordero-Stutz said the incident began around 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Flea Market USA, with a report of a home invasion not far from the market,WFOR-TV, Miami, reported. The victim apparently followed the suspects to the flea market and alerted police officers already working there, Cordero-Stutz said. Officers identified a minivan in the parking lot as the one that appeared to have been driven away from the home invasion and when they approached the vehicle the driver accelerated and the van struck a police vehicle and other vehicles, Cordero-Stutz said. Officers then opened fire on the van. The wounded suspect was hospitalized. Witnesses reported hearing more than a dozen shots.
