
A huge fire broke out in the northern part of Osaka in western Japan Friday morning, but there were no immediate reports of injuries, local press reported. The fire occurred at around 6:10 a.m. local time in a business zone where many restaurants are located in Yodogawa Ward of the city, the report said, adding that some 10 houses with a total floor area of more than 1,000 square meters have been burned down. The cause of the fire, which is still burning, is not clear. A nearby railway station was forced to be partly closed due to the fire. Local firefighters are still trying to put out the fire, according to the report.
