The Archbishop of Tehran’s Assyrian and Chaldean Catholics Ramsey Gremo strongly condemned the burning of the Holy Quran by a US priest. In a statement on Monday, the Archbishop described the sacrilege act as “ugly”and “non-ethical”. He said the officials of his church vigorously condemn the act and stressed that the holy books, sites, rituals and prophets of all religions should be respected and protected. He underlined that all faithful people and religious officials have been urged to avoid any violence in the name of religion and stressed that monotheistic religions should be in service of peace, love and friendship among nations. The US priest has recently set the Holy Quran in fire for the second time in Florida.
