The Islamic Awakening movements in North Africa and Middle East have cultural affinity with Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, head of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly said. Speaking at 9th Conference of Iranian cultural envoys abroad, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari noted that both the Islamic Awakening movements and Iran’s Islamic Revolution have been inspired by the school of Ahlul-Bayt. “The United States of America and the Zionist regime are in the worst political, economic and military condition and the Islamic unity is the best approach forward to face hostile plans of the arrogant powers. The Ahlul-Bayt World Assembly is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) with headquarters in the Islamic Republic of Iran. It seeks to promote the pure teachings of the Holy Prophet of Islam and his Infallible Household (the Ahlul-Bayt) throughout the world. The North Africa and Middle East protests that began in February from Tunisia, spread rapidly through the Middle East and North Africa and continue to shake the pillars of more pro-western regional dictators.
