First Vice-President Mohammd Reza Rahimi said he was pleased to be in Equador; ' a country with a long history of fighting against hegemonic powers'. In a ceremony here to grant golden key of Quito to Iran's VP, Rahimi said that Quito with three thousand and five hundred years of history is one of the most civilized cities in the world. He also said Iran and Equador are geographically far from each other but both of them intend to create a friendship pattern for all justice seekers of the world. Rahimi said that both Iran and Ecuador want to save human beings from any kind of cruelty and discrimination and ate making efforts to establish peace and justice in the world. In the ceremony, Rahimi received golden key of the city and became honorary citizen of Quito.
