A Turkish national has been detained with a large batch of opium in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region, Kazakhstan's Interfax News Agency reported. A total of 185 plastic bags with 186.08 kilograms of opium were found in his truck, deputy Zhambyl region persecutor Khalidulla Dauyeshev told Interfax. The customs officers believe the drug was prepared in Afghanistan and was planned to be transported to Europe. Taking into account the price of Afghan heroin, 1 million dollars per kilogram, the price of this is about $190 million. An investigation is underway.
