Suspected left-wing rebels abducted 15 employees of a private construction company in the eastern Indian state of Bihar late Monday night, police said on Tuesday. A group of 15 Naxalites forcefully entered into the office of the company near Balthar Ghat in Jamui district of Bihar and adducted at gun point some 15 staffers. They have been taken away to a forest bordering the neighboring state of Jharkhand, according to the police. Naxalites often kidnap civilians and security forces personnel in the rebel-infested state across India for ransom and demand for freeing of their cohorts.
