The Abu Dhabi Police have solved the ambiguity about a murder attempt of an Emirati woman, which took place on Wednesday afternoon in Mursheed area of Fujairah. The interrogation of an Ethiopian housemaid on a complaint lodged by a taxi driver for not paying the fare led the police to suspect and ultimately solving of the riddle. At the City Police Station, a policewoman discovered involvement of the Ethiopian maid in another crime after she doubted her behaviour. She had noticed bloodstains on her clothes while taking her statement as she had not paid the fare to taxi driver, who brought her from Fujairah to Abu Dhabi. Major General Mohamed Bin Awadi Menhali, director of the police operations at the Abu Dhabi Police, said that a Bangladeshi taxi driver lodged a complaint on Wednesday against the Ethiopian, SY, 23, for refusing to pay the fare. When SY was interrogated, the police found the link of a murder attempt in Fujairah, which was published in the mass media. The police in Fujairah had issued a circular about the maid for attempting to kill her Emirati employer, AS, by stabbing her with a knife. The maid confessed to the crime and admitted that she fled to Abu Dhabi after the crime. It is also worth-mentioning that the police paid the fare and rewarded the driver for his help in the arrest of the suspect.
