Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak ruled out the possibility to hold general election this year, despite speculation that he would dissolve parliament on Friday. When asked about the speculation, Najib said the 13th general election will not be held this year, the Star newspaper reported. Sources said previously that Najib might dissolve parliament for general election on Friday. Some Malaysian media even said number eleven is Najib's lucky number. Najib also denied the date of general election was discussed during the Barisan Nasional supreme council meeting on Friday, saying the meeting only discussed ways to strengthen the ruling coalition in the face of the general election.
