Man kills daughter, 6 grandchildren in Florida shooting

A man shot dead his daughter and six grandchildren, aged from three months to 10 years old, at his home Thursday afternoon before committing suicide in a small town in Florida, the United States.
Don Spirit, 51-year-old, called 911 and killed himself after a sheriff's deputy arrived at the scene, Gilchrist County Sheriff Robert Schultz said.
According to Schultz, the man had a previous criminal record.
Initial investigation indicated that the shooting appears to be a murder-suicide case and there is no danger to the community at the Bell Town, about 50 km west of Gainesville.
