A group of college students planned a three-day march in Florida to protest the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, organizers said. Protesters will walk about 40 miles between Daytona Beach and Sanford over the weekend, starting Friday, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The group, called the Dream Defenders, said the march is a "stand against racial profiling, institutional racism and the legacy of violence that continues to plague young people of color." Martin, 15, was fatally shot Feb. 26 by self-appointed neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. Zimmerman claimed the shooting was in self-defense and has not been arrested. Meanwhile, CNN reported Thursday Zimmerman told his lawyers he whispered "[expletive] punks" while on the phone with a 911 operator, not a racial slur, as some people believed. Tom Owen, who analyzed 911 recordings, said after using technology to clear the audio track, he has become convinced Zimmerman said "punks."
