Vandalism charges against four people who painted the star on a landmark Moscow skyscraper in the national colors of Ukraine have been changed to hooliganism, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
The suspects, two men and two women, painted the star and also attached a yellow and blue Ukrainian flag on the spire of the 176-meter building on Kotelnicheskaya embankment in downtown Moscow in the early hours of Wednesday.
They denied the accusation buts could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
The Kotelnicheskaya Embankment apartment building is one of the famous Stalin skyscrapers, also knows as the "Seven Sisters." It was built in 1938-1952.
