
The US Navy Friday identified the missing pilot of a military helicopter that crashed off the coast of Virginia Beach, Va., as Lt. Sean C. Snyder. A Navy statement said five crew members were aboard the MH-53E when it crashed Wednesday. Four were rescued but two, Lt. J. Wesley Van Dorn, 29, of Greensboro, N.C., and Naval Aircrewman Brian Collins, 25, of Truckee, Calif., died of their injuries. A third was released from a hospital Friday, while a fourth remains hospitalized at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Navy ships and diving units are involved in searching for Snyder, 39, of Santee, Calif., the statement said.
