A Nevada man who shot up a urologist's office did so because he was angry about complications from a vasectomy, newly released 911 tapes indicate. Alan Frazier, 51, of Lake Alamanor, Calif., entered Urology Nevada at Renown Regional Medical Center last week with a shotgun and began opening fire. A number of patients and workers in the office called 911 while cowering under desks, inside bathrooms and in examining rooms, telling dispatchers they heard gunshots, the Reno (Nev.) Gazette reported Tuesday. One caller said Frazier told those in the office if they were a patient they could leave. One man told operators the gunman is "pissed off because he had a vasectomy here and it ruined his life. ... He said, 'As long as you're a patient you can leave; otherwise, I'm going to shoot you.'" In all, police said Frazier fired five shots, killing Dr. Garo Gholdoian and injuring Dr. Christine Lajeunesse and patient Shawntae Spears. A fourth shot injured no one. The fifth took Frazier's own life. Police confirmed Frazier had a vasectomy at the office in 2010.
