Denmark's newly-appointed Foreign Minister Villy Soevndal will make his first official visit to Norway and Sweden on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday. Soevndal will meet Norway's Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere in Oslo, and then proceed to Stockholm where he will meet his Swedish counterpart Carl Bildt. Nordic affairs will be the focus of both meetings, while discussions on the Arctic, the Middle East and North Africa will also be on the agenda, the statement added. This is Soevndal's first official visit since becoming foreign minister in Denmark's newly-elected center-left coalition government.
