Three police officers have been taken to hospital after a noxious substance was thrown into a house in Edinburgh.The officers had been called to a house in Forrester Park Drive following an incident where a group of men were trying to get into the property.One of the four people inside the house, a 46-year-old man tried to block their entry and suffered face injuries. The police officers have since been released from hospital following the incident at 22:20 on Wednesday.The group of men then threw a noxious substance into the property before fleeing the scene.Detectives are now urging witnesses to come forward. A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "This was a frightening experience for the occupants and we are carrying out local enquiries to identify those responsible."
