1 American shot by robbers at Brussels airport

A shooting incident occurred at Brussels airport Wednesday morning leaving one male U.S. national injured, said the International SOS alarm center here on Wednesday. The shooting took place at around 6 a.m. local time (0500 GMT) at the Brussels Zaventem International Airport (BRU), the agency said in its briefing. It said the victim was shot in the leg after he attempted to prevent two suspected robbers from stealing a bag in the departure area outside the terminal building. The incident did not affect flights at the facility.
