Passenger shoots, kills LA bus driver

A suspect was in custody Sunday in the shooting death of a Los Angeles Metro bus driver in West Hollywood, police said. A passenger shot the driver at about 9:10 a.m. PDT on Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Mike Parker said. Metro Chief Executive Officer Art Leahy called the shooting "a tragedy," the Los Angeles Times reported. "We don't know why this happened," Leafy said. Police said there was no information on what prompted the shooting, the newspaper said.
