Authorities in Florida said they arrested a man accused of allegedly trying to shoot his horse for bucking him off as he tried to ride drunk. The Levy County Sheriff's Office said Lonnie Wilkerson, 64, of Chiefland was riding his horse down a road around 11 p.m. Monday after drinking vodka when the animal bucked him off its back. Wilkerson, who was holding a 40-caliber pistol, fired off several shots at the horse, but all of them missed. Wilkerson was treated for minor injuries from his fall and jailed on a charge of using a firearm while under the influence of alcoholic beverage.
