Policeman killed, 2 others injured in Kirkuk attack

A policeman has been killed and two others injured in an attack by a group of unknown gunmen in central Kirkuk on Sunday, the city’s Police Director reported. "A policeman has been killed and two others were injured by a group of armed men in central Kirkuk on Sunday," Lt-Brigadier Sarhad Qader told (Aswat Al-Iraq) News Agency. He said the victim was a member of Kirkuk''s local police , whilst the two injured policemen were members of the city''s emergency police. The oil-rich city of Kirkuk is 280 km to the north of Baghdad.
