Russia hopes to continue its intensive political and economic dialogue with Malaysia, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday. “We are satisfied with the recent developments [in bilateral relations], and hope to preserve highly intensive political and economic dialogues in all directions,” Medvedev said opening a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamed Najib bin Abdul Razak. Medvedev met with Najib on the sidelines of the 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, held in the Hawaiian capital of Honolulu on November 12-13. The Russian president added that the trade between Russian and Malaysia has been on the increase recently and both countries also implemented a number of major bilateral projects.
