The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) summit kicked off on Friday in Mozambican's capital city of Maputo. Heads of state and government from members of SADC would attend the two-day summit, during which they will discuss regional issues. The summit will be held at closed doors, and focuses on political crisis in Zimbabwe and political crisis in Madagascar, and frontier problem between Malawi and Tanzania. Malawi and Tanzania have started a verbal war over the Niassa Lake, with the Joyce Banda from Malawi announcing that she is ready to die for her country, Radio Mozambique reported on Friday. The leaders of the region were also to discuss the ongoing conflicts in Zimbabwe, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The President of Madagascar's transition Andry Rajoelina has arrived in Maputo though it's still not confirmed if he will attend the summit or not, according to the report. SADC member states are Mozambique, Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, South Africa, Madagascar, the Mauritius, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, Malawi, Botswana, Lesotho and Tanzania.
