An Antonov biplane crashed Sunday in the Krasnodar territory in south Russia, injuring the pilot, local emergencies ministry spokesman said on Sunday. According to the spokesman, the An-2 plane crashed at about 12:00 Moscow time (0800 GMT) near the village of Zasovskaya. "According to preliminary information, there was only one pilot aboard the plane. The pilot survived the crash and was hospitalized," the spokesman told reporters. The plane flew into an electric power line when it was descending and caught fire after the crash, he added. An investigation into the crash is underway.
