Police in Spain said they rescued a man whose relatives locked him in the trunk of a car on New Year's Eve because he was drunk. The BBC said police -- responding to an emergency call from a neighbor -- found the man, 24, unresponsive and wrapped in a blanket in the trunk of a car Wednesday on the Spanish island Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Paramedics determined the man was simply passed out. When he came to, police said he told them he had a vague recollection of being put in the trunk by his brother, cousin and another person, TheLocal.sp reported. No charges were filed.
