Three people were killed on the territory of the Leningrad region when a private single-engine plane crashed into a local river near the town of Kuksino, a hundred kilometers away from St Petersburg. Early information indicates the four-seat plane might have hitched on a power transmission line, according to Russian news agency (Itar-Tass). "The bodies of three men were found inside the plane that was recovered from the waters of the river Tiboda at 23:10 Monday," the press service of the regional branch of the Ministry for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (EMERCOM) said. At the time of reporting, a special investigative commission was on its way to the site of the crash.
