Police confirmed that a teacher and her husband died in a weekend explosion that destroyed some houses and damaged others in an Indianapolis neighborhood. School officials said a vigil was held Sunday at the Greenwood school where Jennifer Longworth taught, WISH-TV, Indianapolis reported. She and her husband, Dion Longworth, were killed in an enormous explosion late Saturday on Indianapolis' south side, police said. An official with Citizens Energy said the investigation into what caused the explosion could take weeks. Damages were estimated at $3.6 million, with five homes either already destroyed or scheduled to be demolished, police said. Eighty homes were affected.
