Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will pay an official visit to Russia on September 24, the second such visit in the past two months, the Kremlin press service said on Friday. The visit, by invitation from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, will come amid Ukraine's attempts to review a ten-year gas contract with Russia. The deal ties the price for gas to oil prices, which have been rising recently, boosting Ukraine's bill. This will be the third meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian leaders, after Russian Medvedev's visit to Ukraine on the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, and Yanukovych's visit to the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi in August.
