US Ambassador confirms commitment to Israel's security

US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro affirmed the US commitment to Israeli security on Tuesday morning during a visit to an Iron Dome rocket defense system battery in Ashkelon. "Our commitment to Israel''s security is steadfast," (The Jerusalem Post) quoted the ambassador as saying. US President Barack Obama and the US Congress, he added, "were united in provided full funding of Israel''s annual assistance package as well as the $200 million represented in the Iron Dome program."
