Police arrested a parent volunteer at a South Carolina elementary school after she threatened Gov. Nikki Haley who was scheduled to speak at the school. Jennifer Phillips, 46, was arrested 90 minutes before the Republican governor arrived at Liberty Elementary School in Pickens County to address 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students, WSPA-TV, Spartanburg, S.C., reported Wednesday. The police incident report said Phillips was removed after a school employee overheard her say, "I'm going to smuggle a gun in and kill this governor." Phillips was being held on $1,097 bond Tuesday evening and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 9. When Gov. Haley was informed of the threat, she told reporters it was just another part of her job. "When you make decision, you make some people happy and you make some people upset," the governor said Tuesday. "There are some people who take it a bit further, and that is part of my job is to deal with it."
