Guinness World Records said a 21 1/2-inch tall Nepalese man has been confirmed as the shortest adult human ever documented. The recordkeeping organization said Chandra Bahadur Dangi, 72, from the Dang district, 220 miles from Kathmandu, was measured by officials and found to be more than an inch shorter than the previous record holder, Gul Mohammed of India, who died in 1997, Sky News reported Friday. "Until now, Chandra's stature has been a burden. He is acutely aware of the difficulties of fitting into an average-sized world and is disappointed at having missed out on the chance to find a wife," Guinness World Records said in a statement. "He is hopeful, though, that his new title will see a change in his fortunes."
