Charlotte Dujardin won her second gold medal of the Olympics Thursday and gave Britain its first individual dressage victory in the history of the Games. It was the third equestrian gold medal for British riders and it came on the final day of competition in the sport. She rode her gelding Valegro to music that included the theme from the movie "The Great Escape." Adelinde Cornelissen of the Netherlands finished second and Britain's Laura Bechtolsheimer was third. Dujardin and Bechtolsheimer were part of the team that won the team dressage gold medal earlier in the Games. The gold medal winner earned a score of 90.089. Cornelissen finished at 88.196 and Bechtolsheimer totaled 84.339. American riders went without an equestrian medal for the first time in 56 years.
