Football: Burnley Smash Transfer Record Fee to Land Defour

Burnley broke Tuesday their transfer record to sign Belgium midfielder Steven Defour from Anderlecht.
The 28-year-old signed a three-year deal with the promoted Premier League club reportedly worth 7.35 million pounds Sterling. Defour expressed his hope that his experience can help Burnley in their Premier League campaign.
Defour said he took some time to look into the club when he was told of their interest in him.
Burnley began their league campaign with a home loss to Swansea.
