Kaori Icho of Japan won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in the 63-kilogram class of women's freestyle wrestling. China's Jing Ruixue took the silver medal. Battsetseg Soronzonbold of Mongolia and Lubov Volosova of Russia both received bronze medals. Two women's freestyle wrestling competitions were conducted Wednesday and an athlete from Japan won both of them.
