Darin Mastroianni scored the go-ahead run on a Cleveland fielding miscue in the 12th inning Tuesday and Minnesota went on to outlast the Indians 6-5. Mastroianni collected a two-out single in the 12th against Scott Maine (1-1) -- the Tribe's club-record 10th pitcher -- and stole second to get into scoring position. Alexi Casilla then hit a routine grounder to second baseman Jason Kipnes, but first baseman Matt LaPorta didn't cover the bag in time, allowing Mastroianni to come around and slide home for a 5-4 Twins lead. Pedro Florimon then gave Minnesota a much-needed insurance run with an RBI single. The rally made a winner of Tyler Robertson (2-2), who tossed 1 1/3 scoreless relief frames, and Glen Perkins notched his 12th save despite yielding a homer to Carlos Santana in the next half-inning. Joe Mauer went 3-for-4 with an RBI, raising his batting average to .325, while Denard Span added three hits with two runs scored for the Twins, who took the opener of a three-game set. Lonnie Chisenhall socked a solo homer for Cleveland.
