C.J. Wilson allowed one unearned run over 7 2/3 innings and Mike Trout homered Saturday, propelling the Los Angeles Angels to a 6-1 win over Detroit. Wilson (12-9) surrendered four hits, walked two and struck out six for the Angels, who stayed hot with their fifth straight win and 10th victory in 11 games overall. Trout's leadoff blast in the first inning sparked a four-run rally against Tigers starter Justin Verlander (13-8). Howie Kendrick and Vernon Wells added RBI doubles in the big frame. Albert Pujols went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored for Los Angeles, which came into the contest two games out of an American League wild card spot. Verlander was roughed up for six runs on nine hits in six innings for the second-place Tigers, who fell two games behind the American League Central-leading Chicago White Sox. Omar Infante knocked in Detroit's only run.
