Andreas Seppi won a third-set tiebreaker Monday in claiming a first-round win at the Paris Masters tennis tournament. Seppi edged past Martin Klizan 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5) in advancing to the second round of the next-to-last event on the 2012 ATP calendar. Seppi had 12 aces but only took about one-third of the points off his second serve. Klizan actually won more points (88-82) in the match. Both players had a break in the third set but Seppi managed to hold on in the tiebreaker for the victory. It was the only match on Monday's 10-match schedule that went to three sets. Kevin Anderson had the most lopsided win on the day, beating Thomaz Bellucci 6-2, 6-1 in 63 minutes. Anderson had nine aces and no double faults while winning more than 70 percent of the points on serve. He saved the only break point he faced while cashing in four of his seven break chances. Qualifiers Jerzy Janowicz and Alejandro Falla also advanced. Janowicz got past Philipp Kohlschreiber 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 without facing a break point. He lost only 13 points in 11 games serving. Falla topped Florian Mayer 7-6 (7-3), 6-2. He took three-quarters of the points on serve despite landing just 47 percent of his first serves.
