The head of FC Dallas of the Major Soccer League was arrested for an alleged violent argument with his wife in a New York hotel, sources told the New York Post. The newspaper said Hal Quinn, 50, was hauled into court and released on bail after the alleged altercation at The Alex Hotel in midtown Manhattan. Quinn, who the Post said stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 250 pounds, was accused of hitting and choking his diminutive wife, Elizabeth, and then trying to smother her with a pillow in their room. The cause of the argument was not known, and Elizabeth Quinn told the Post the couple planned to stay together even though she had to seek treatment at a nearby hospital. "It was his 50th birthday party Friday night," she said. "We had a lovely night, and unfortunately things went wrong." FC Dallas had no immediate comment on the situation.
