Arsenal's magnificent victory over Manchester City was well-timed in more ways than one. The Club used the game as an opportunity to promote this summer's landmark fixture against City in Beijing to millions of fans in China. The game was broadcast live via Beijing TV and both teams warmed up wearing T-shirts with messages in Mandarin. There were also displays on perimeter boards promoting the fixture in the Bird's Nest Stadium on July 27. The Club also played host to China Ambassador in London, Liu Xiaoming. Arsenal's Chief Executive, Ivan Gazidis, said: "It was a good opportunity to promote the summer match to supporters in China. We have a strong following there and are looking forward to visiting in July. "We have had tremendous support from the Ambassador and it was great to have him with us as a guest."
