Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is planning to make his comeback from injury this week after missing the last three games with a knee sprain.
Roethlisberger said he plans to practice this week with his knee heavily strapped and aims to be fit for Sunday's trip to Missouri to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
"We're going to tape it and brace it and I'm going to see what I can do," said Roethlisberger.
"My plan is to go out Wednesday and practice. We'll see what happens. I know I've got to be smart about it. I've got to be able to defend myself. We're just going to take it day by day."
Roethlisberger was injured against the St. Louis Rams on September 27, suffering a sprained knee ligament and a bruised bone.
The Steelers back up Michael Vick was injured in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals, leaving Pittsburgh reliant on third-choice quarterback Landry Jones.
