Britain's Bradley Wiggins will compete in this year's Tour of Catalonia on the back of his victory in the Paris-Nice race, his Team Sky outfit said on Monday. As expected, the Londoner will skip next Saturday's Milan-San Remo classic, which will see the participation of Britain's world champion Mark Cavendish and Norway's Edvald Boasson Hagen. Cavendish has competed three times before in the race and won on his debut in 2009. He was 89th in 2010 and 52nd last year when Australia's Matt Goss won the title. In Catalonia, Wiggins will ride with Australia's Richie Porte, Belarussian Kanstantin Siutsou, American Danny Pate, Xabier Zandio of Spain and Rigoberto Uran, of Colombia, who helped him secure victory in the "race to the sun" on Sunday.
