Hamilton handed grid penalty in China

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton will get a five-place grid penalty for the Chinese Grand Prix, after it was confirmed he will need a new gearbox for the third round on the F1 2012 calendar. Hamilton, who is currently second in the drivers' championship, 5 points behind Fernando Alonso, will now line-up for Sunday's race at the Shanghai International Circuit in no better than sixth place. The Brit revealed the problem today. No further information has been released by the team.
