Rennes defender Kader Mangane has accepted his season is over after he underwent knee surgery last week. The Senegalese international picked up a knee injury during the UEFA Europa League game against Udinese last September and has set himself a target of next season to return fully fit for the Ligue 1 club. Mangane told the club's official website: "The first days were pretty painful, but now I have less pain. I could not give everything. I will be their number one fan. "Yes, I would have liked to be there. The coach asked me to postpone the operation but if I'm not 100% it's not worth it."
