Romania goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon has joined Watford from Premier League rivals Sunderland, it was announced on Tuesday.
Pantilimon, who was previously with English top-flight giants Manchester City, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee, according to a statement on Watford's website.
Now Pantilimon will find himself competing alongside Heurelho Gomes for a place in the Hornets' starting line-up.
A brief statement on Sunderland's website said: "Sunderland AFC would like to thank Costel and wish him the very best for the future at his new club."
Pantilimon, 28, last played for the north-east club in their 3-1 loss away to Chelsea on December 19.
