South Korean internationals Kim Seung-Dae and Yoon Bit-Garam scored once each in the first half to help Yanbian beat Guangzhou R&F 3-1 in the Chinese Super League, snatching their third consecutive win at home.
Guangzhou got a few chances in the first half but failed to score. In the 28th minute, Yanbian took the lead with Kim Seung-Dae's smart finish in the box, and Yoon Bit-garam made it 2-0 with a long shot before half-time.
Israeli star Eran Zahavy came from the bench in the second half, signaling Guangzhou' s attempt to equalize. But their effort came in vain as Yanbian's Jin Bo made the third goal in the 64th minute. Lu Lin pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute just for consolation.
Newly-promoted Yanbian had defeated several strong teams like Shanghai Shenhua and Jiangsu Suning, standing 8th out of 16 teams in the league.
